Why Am I Being Prompted to Switch Networks with MetaMask?

What to do when Slingshot asks you to switch networks while using MetaMask.

If you're using a MetaMask wallet and try to swap a token that lives on a different network than the one you're currently connected to, Slingshot will prompt you to switch networks.

  • For example, if you click “Switch to Polygon”, Slingshot will send a request to your MetaMask wallet to connect to the Polygon network.

  • Your MetaMask wallet will then pop up with a prompt.

  • Click “Switch network” to approve the request and continue with your swap.
