Slingshot Wallet supports two import methods: seed phrase and private key import.

All EVM-compatible wallets are supported by Slingshot Wallet, including MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, and Keplr Wallet.

Recovery/Seed Phrase Import

Once you’ve downloaded and opened Slingshot Wallet on your iOS or Android device, importing an existing wallet using a seed phrase is easy.

  1. Click Import Wallet at the bottom of your app screen.

  2. Enter the seed phrase of the wallet you are connecting.

  3. Enable protective measures on the Slingshot Wallet.

  4. Begin swapping with the Slingshot Wallet, while connected to your imported wallet.

If the "Import" button remains grey after you have pasted the phrase, it likely means that there are extra spaces or a misspelled word in your phrase. Try typing each word individually and double check the spelling for each word.

Please note: You can't have more than one Seed Phrase in your Slingshot Wallet. If you already created a new wallet, you can't import the Seed Phrase of another wallet you have elsewhere. However, you can import a single Private Key, as described below.

Private Key Import

If you would like to import an existing wallet address using a private key, you will first need to create a new wallet or import one using a seed phrase as described above.

You will be able to use wallet addresses imported with private keys, but they are not recoverable with your Slingshot Wallet seed phrase.

Once you have a wallet set up, you can then import a wallet address using a private key by following these instructions.

  1. Tap the green Wallets icon in the top left of the home screen.

  2. Tap the green + Add Wallet button.

  3. Tap Import private key.

  4. Paste in your private key and tap Import.

  5. Begin swapping!
