How do Slingshot non-custodial accounts work?
Slingshot accounts are non-custodial, meaning only you can control the account via your username, password, PIN, and backup phrase.
Slingshot’s architecture is built so that it never has access to your private keys. These keys are securely encrypted in a multi-party computation (MPC) model, and only you can decrypt them.
Is Slingshot a centralized platform?
No. Slingshot is not a centralized platform. It’s a combination of on-chain and off-chain technologies that power one-click interactions with public DeFi protocols.
All transactions are executed on-chain and can be verified via block explorers.
Slingshot does not connect to centralized exchanges, OTC desks, or off-chain order books—everything is pure DeFi.
How does Slingshot ensure security and privacy?
Slingshot prioritizes user privacy and security. All accounts are non-custodial, and all trades are executed on-chain.
More information is available in our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
Should I deposit tokens for gas?
No. You don’t need to deposit or maintain gas tokens. Network fees are paid in quote tokens during swaps.
Your estimated receive amount will always reflect net of these fees.
You may see gas token deposits in your address via a block explorer, but they are owned by Slingshot and used to enable key features. They are not available for you to trade or withdraw.
Do I need to bridge tokens to swap across networks?
No. Slingshot eliminates the need for bridging. It handles network logic for you automatically—just focus on your trade.

Why is there a $400 minimum balance to trade on Ethereum Mainnet?
Ethereum gas fees make small trades inefficient.

They do not guarantee safety
Risks (e.g., low liquidity, modifiable contracts, taxes) may still exist
Always research tokens before trading, even if they are marked verified.
Why doesn’t my token appear in Slingshot?
Your token might not appear if it:
Doesn’t meet Slingshot’s minimum liquidity requirements

Otherwise, supported tokens become tradeable within seconds of launch.
Why don’t I see my deposited token in my account?
